Mel Pilkington was recommended to us by his steelwork contractor to carry out the climate control in his new shop at Clarence Dock in Leeds. Working closely with the builder and architect, we came up with a design that suited Mel's requirements. The design had to allow for a minimal amount of noise due to the floor directly above the shop being residential apartments. This meant that all cassettes had to hung on anti-vibration mountings to stop any transfer through to above.

All condensers had to be as quiet as possible due to the close proximity of local residents, therefore we chose three Daikin FCQ71/RZQ71 cassette systems with a max sound pressure of 51 dBA and an optional night time setting to reduce to 45 dBA to allow frost protection with minimal noise.
